近年来，不断涌出的新鲜声音持续加速和调动着出版作为一种艺术实践的繁荣景象。基于当下全球独立出版的激进变化的特性，这本聚焦了众多艺术家、作家、编辑、出版人、设计师、Zinesters和社会活动家的陈述文字的新书“Publishing Manifestos”激起了一轮新的共鸣演奏曲。总的来说，这本书赋予“独立出版人集体想象”之探索艺术的力量，借以对权威进行真相阐述，并重新定义制作和发行的意义。

主张白人/异性恋正常主义的苍穹之外，正如火如荼地进行着最为活跃的独立出版实践，这其中又以女性主义、酷儿文化和有色人种为主。作为MIT设计与视觉文化编辑，与Miss Read，这个欧洲最大的艺术书展共同出版本书让人充满期待。这本书也作为引领大家踏入独立出版这片重要而广阔天地的开始，它发生的社会背景并非隐晦难懂，相反地，这是一场积极又及时的互动。
